Senior Serverless Full Stack Developer
As a Serverless Full Stack Developer, reporting to the Head of Engineering, your primary responsibility will be to ensure a positive and satisfying experience for members through developing and maintaining the Serverless Full Stack customer experience in conjunction with the Product and Engineering teams. You will play a crucial role in maintaining member satisfaction and driving new business.
You will be an essential part of the Engineering and Development team. Your role directly impacts the company's reputation and member satisfaction levels, as well as its ability to retain and attract new members and other business.
Overview

• We are currently recruiting a Serverless Full Stack Developer to be able to develop new products in a near green fields environment (AWS).
• You will also assist with maintaining our current core product (Django/Python + react).
• Your primary focus will be on Serverless Full Stack development and you will need to have knowledge/passion for working with node.js/typescript and Python and to contribute to the back end development and API architecture, or at least be a fast study.

Day to day responsibilities

• Adhere to all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance
• Collaborate with product team, front-end, back-end and other Full Stack developers to develop UI and other components with APIs and databases.
• Write clean, high-quality, documented and maintainable code
• In-depth understanding of microservices, API-led services architecture and best practices.
• Designing, Building and deploying cloud-native applications
• Experience with AWS serverless deployments is essential.
• Understanding the Australian and other overseas medical systems and bring that to the code you will design and write
• Architect and deliver serverless microservices
• Integrating Server based front end components
• Designing, building and deploying API contracts within and without the company
• Ensuring Security is built in to every step of the software development lifecycle
• Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure the project meets business objectives and compliance standards
• Support full testing and deployment of new products and features
• Actively participate in code reviews, retros and sprint planning (Agile methodologies)
• Provide Serverless Full Stack technical leadership in terms of mentoring developers, constructive feedback, and architectural decisions
• Experience with Payment systems; Stripe, Medipass (Tyro Health) Coupon solutions
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
• 8+ years working as a Serverless Full Stack developer
• Software Engineering architecture experience
• Code repositories; VSCode, Github (git in general, Npm packages (private and public)
• Strong understanding of AWS serverless devops methodologies and architectures; CDK, Cloudformation, Serverless.com
• Strong understanding of AWS serverless components and services including but limited to; Cloudfront, Lambda, Lambda@Edge, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Eventbridge, Cloudwatch, DynamoDB, RDS, S3

Languages expected

• Typescript/Javascript

• NextJS, Remix or other frontend meta-frameworks
• Experience with python would hold you in great regard.
