Crawfords Funerals have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team of funeral professionals in Newcomb. This is a Full Time (38 hours) position with a requirement for some overtime and after-hours rostered work.
We are seeking a team member for an immediate start with a passion and willingness to learn. Funeral Industry experience is desirable, but not necessary as training will be provided to the successful candidate.
In this role you will:
- Discuss funeral arrangements with client families.
- Conduct funeral services which may include performing the duties of a funeral assistant.
- Assist and support families through the funeral ceremony and other aspects of the funeral process.
- Participate in our on-call duty roster which will include some after hours work, weekends and public holidays.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate they are competent in;
- Excellent communication skills
- Physically able to meet the requirements of the role which does involve lifting and carrying (Successfully completing a medical examination may be required).
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Well groomed and professionally presented
- An ability to relate to people from various walks of life.
- A willingness to learn and provide a flexible approach to work.
- Have a current, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Be willing to undergo a police check.
