We currently have two beautiful, smaller services located in Blackbutt and Flinders, and we have recently opened our third service in Shell Heights, within the Dunmore Estate since July 2023! Our new state of the art, 125 place childcare service is a purposefully designed, innovative service, standing out from the rest.
Our new service consists of a 4-room centre, each with their own specially designed outdoor spaces with an additional 3 extra-curricular rooms to further extend upon children’s learning; the art room, children's library and kitchen/ science lab.
The Centre:
Junior Einsteins Nurturing Centre – Shell Heights is our newest service, focusing on creating an inclusive environment. This new state of the art centre is opened 52 weeks a year, catering for 125 children per day, aged 6 weeks – 6 years of age, from 6:30am – 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, closed on public holidays.
Position Available:
We are searching for a highly organised, confident and passionate Full Time Kitchen Hand to work collaboratively with the Centre Cook to assist in the delivery of a nutritious and balanced menu for the children at our service. The successful applicant will assist the Centre Cook in meal preparation, whilst ensuring the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen is maintained to a high standard, including all dishes. The appointed person will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of dietary requirements and allergies to ensure the health and safety of all children. The successful applicant will follow the service policies and procedures outlining hygiene standards and protocols to ensure effective and safe food handling and storage. The successful applicant will also work alongside the educators within the centre to assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the service.
Essential Requirements:
- NSW Working with Children's Check
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- An excellent understanding of the WH&S.
- An understanding of food anaphylaxis, allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements.
Desirable Requirements:
- Certificate in Safe Food Handling
