The Centre:
Junior Einsteins Nurturing Centre – Shell Heights is our newest service, focusing on creating an inclusive environment. This new state of the art centre is opened 52 weeks a year, catering for 125 children per day, aged 6 weeks – 6 years of age, from 6:30am – 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, closed on public holidays. Construction for the Junior Einsteins Cafe have commenced, and we are excited to be opening in the coming weeks!
The Cafe:
The Junior Einsteins Cafe will be open from 6:30AM to 10:30AM, then again for everyone's afternoon caffeine fix from 2PM to 5PM, from Monday to Friday. The cafe will be open to the general public and surrounding areas, as well as our lovely parents and families! We will be stocking an array of delicious treats and meal options including:

🏋️ Protein shakes
🍰 Cakes, muffins and sweet treats
🥪 Sandwiches and wraps
🥧 Pies, sausage rolls and savoury pastries and more!
We are searching for a number of individuals within varying roles to join our team, both within the service and for the cafe! The roles available include:
☕ CAFE BASED ROLE:Full Time Barista: Split shifts from 6:00AM - 10:30AM and 2:00PM - 5:00PM (Friday, 2.00PM - 5:30PM)
Barista Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to handle 6-8kg alone.
- Exceptional quality and speed in delivery.
- Understanding of coffee beans and specialty coffee.
- Customer focused and positive energy.
- Passionate about coffee!
- Clean and efficient.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Take care of the day to day coffee agenda.
- Provide high quality customer service.
- Utilise POS system.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of coffee is maintained.
- Ensure the rotation of cakes, pastries and hot food items.
- Work alongside the owner to ensure stocktake is completed on a weekly basis.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic & organised workspace and environment.
WE ARE ALSO TAKING EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR A PART TIME BARISTA ROLE - HOURS AND SHIFT AVAILABILITIES TO BE ANNOUNCED.
🍴 SERVICE BASED ROLE:Full Time Kitchen Hand: Monday to Thursday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM and Friday, 9:00AM - 5:30PM (38 hrs per week)
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Assist the centre cook with food preparation in the daily of our nutritious and balance menu.
- Working alongside the centre cook to ensure food safety for children with anaphylaxis, allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements.
- Complete all dish washing and cleaning of equipment, utensils, bowls and plates after all mealtimes.
- Follow the service policies and procedures outlining hygiene standards and protocols to ensure effective and safe food handling and storage.
- Maintain a clean, sanitised and hygiene workspace.
- Ensure the daily cleaning of all kitchens within the service.
- Assist in laundry duties.
Essential Requirements for Both Positions:
- NSW Working with Children's Check
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- An excellent understanding of the WH&S.
- An understanding of food anaphylaxis, allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements.
Desirable Requirements:
- Certificate in Safe Food Handling
