Additional Information:
• These roles are Permanent Part-time, 40hrs/fortnight.
• The internal job title for this role is IKEA Food Co-worker.
• As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts ranging from 7:30am to 9:30pm. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
• You are required to have full-day availability on Tuesdays and Wednesday to be considered for this role.
RECRUITMENT PROCESS

• If you are successful for this role, you will be required to attend a 2-day Welcome induction.
If you are successful, your shifts will commence from Monday 22 July 2024.
About this work area
As an IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Contributing to the IKEA brand position by acting as a brand ambassador for IKEA and IKEA Retail Food.
• Contributing to continuous improvement by seeking and acting upon customer feedback.
• Operating the industrial dishwashing machine and sorting cutlery.
• You must be comfortable standing and working at the sink, as this is where your main duties will preside.
• Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with Food standards by keeping it clean, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience.
• Food preparation, cooking, serving and customer service with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels and cooking methods.
• Using your IKEA Food knowledge to exceed customer expectations, confidently answering their questions so they can make informed purchase decisions.
As an IKEA Food Co-worker, you are or have:
• Passionate, committed, and have a love for food in its quality and presentation.
• High customer-centric approach as you will focus on ensuring our customers have a positive dining experience.
• Experienced with working in a fast paced, hands-on environment. Previous hospitality and cookery experience is highly regarded.
• An energetic and team-focused approach as this department can become extremely busy.
• Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks.
