Full-Time Nanny

Location: Elwood, VIC

Start date: June 17th 

Child: 12 month old

Days: Mondays-Fridays

Hours: 40 hours per week (3 full days, 2 shorter days)

Salary: $70,000-75,000 per year + Super + paid leave entitlements.

This family is seeking a caring and reliable nanny to care for their newly-1 year old while they work full-time. They require a nanny 5 days a week, but a doting grandmother will also help out (likely Wednesday and Friday afternoons), allowing the nanny a schedule of around 40 hours a week. The family is eager to define a regular schedule once they find their Nanager and mum works out the rhythm of her new job.

As their child moves into her second year of life the parents are seeking a nanny who is experienced in the toddler years, who can encourage positive routines while providing attentive care and build a positive relationship with their daughter. The right person for this role will be eager to engage with the child in developmentally appropriate play and activity. Getting out and about (on foot and/or public transport) is a value this family wants their nanny to share. A non-smoker is also essential.

In addition to childcare as the priority, the parents would welcome a little extra support to keep their lives running smoothly each week. They'd love their nanny to do some simple meal prep/cooking for their daughter, support with laundry, and help to maintain a safe and organised home environment.

This family is active and friendly, enjoying interacting with their local community. The 1 year old is smiley and inquisitive. She loves to be part of the action going on around her, and delights in singing and storybooks.

The parents are keen for their daughter to be exposed to French a second language early on (they do not speak it themselves), so a French-speaker would be highly desirable but definitely not essential!
