An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Functions Manager to join EPICURE at Brisbane City Hall. The Functions Manager is responsible for the successful day to day management of the Function department ensuring that functions are well organized, executed and delivered consistent with Epicure's well known and respected brand.

EPICURE manages all facets of the event process, and at Brisbane City Hall, every day is different with our varied clientele. The Functions Manager reports to the Venue Manager of EPICURE at Brisbane City Hall. The primary focus of the Functions Manager is to supervises the functions/banquets department ensuring that all functions are successfully executed, maximizing guest satisfaction consistent with EPICURE standards, through planning, organizing and controlling the food and beverage operation. We are looking for someone with at least 3 years experience in a similar role.
Key Role:
Financials
- Constantly looking for new ideas to both enhance guest satisfaction and maximize revenue
- Always adhere to the established operating procedures
Operations – Guest Services
- Personally ensure guests expectations are met, optimizing repeat business
- Deal with enquiries accurately and positively
- Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time
- Check staff service skills constantly and correct substandard service immediately
- Establish guest service standards for various functions in line with operating concept of department
Operations - General
- Conduct daily briefing with Sales Team on service, menus, and special arrangements
- Assist in ensuring staff are appropriate and skilled to the job
- Ensure function space is adequately equipped
Human Resources
- Take the lead in building a cohesive and effective team by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety, and development
- Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and other departments
