The Role
We have a new Full-time opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional to join our team as a Duty / Shift Manager.
Reporting to the Venue Manager and as a key member of our Duty Management Team, this newly created opportunity would suit someone who has strong experiences in the management of Gaming, Liquor, WHS and Club/Hotel operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage / oversee the full range of operational functions of the Club including gaming, security, food & beverage, functions, facility maintenance, special events and entertainment to deliver customer / guest experiences
- Count / reconcile cash and compile reconciliation reports
- Uphold and champion our Club Values
- Facilitate the Club’s procedures including but not limited to payouts, cash handling and dispute resolution.
- Ensure all employees adhere to all Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) policies and procedures
- Demonstrate responsible leadership that mirrors Industry standards associated with the Responsible Service of Alcohol, Responsible Service of Gaming, Hygiene and WHS
- Manage / elevate employee-related matters and assist in building a high-performance environment by supporting all end-to-end employee processes
- Identify / assess / recommend / deliver staff training requirements
- Effectively utilise labour tools / systems balanced with delivering positive customer experiences
- Adhere to workplace health & safety policies and pro-actively contribute in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
About you
- Demonstrated comparative experiences in a similar role ideally in Club / Hotel industries
- Excellent communication skills especially customer liaison
- Computer skills (Microsoft)
- Strong focus on procedural compliance
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative, regulatory and industry standards for Licensed Clubs (including - gaming, privacy, liquor, security, safety, health, hygiene, industrial relations and environmental regulations).
- Advanced product knowledge (beer /wine / spirits / cocktails)
- Impeccable attention to detail and time management
- Accurate cash handling and balancing
- Accuracy in literacy and numeracy
- Positive leadership / supervisory skills including problem solving, solution generation and trouble shooting
- A passion for providing exceptional guest experiences
- A team player with a high-level of self-motivation and listening skills
- An ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- A high standard of hygiene and personal presentation
- Be punctual, reliable and dependable
- Have initiative, commitment and passion for your job
Essential criteria
- At least 5 years management experience in the hospitality/club industry
- Liquor Approved Managers Licence
- Responsible Management of Licenced Venues certificate (RMLV)
- Hold a current RSG Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate
