About the Role:
- Responsible for the smooth and effective running of functions, maintaining company standards including service and budgeted labour percentage.
- Liaise with event planners and outside contractors to ensure all details of functions are followed according to the event brief and meets client expectations.
- Maintain open and clear communication with client during functions, including participation in client meetings, be proactive and visible at all times, action feedback, lead with an attitude that embraces continuous improvement for staff and respect the trust and confidentiality of the position
- Ensure all equipment and stock has been ordered from the warehouse with correct delivery instructions
- Ensure that a clear and precise briefing is given to all staff prior to the function, inclusive of service standards, dress code and presentation and that all staff are allocated their particular responsibilities for the function
- Minimum 5 years' experience in hospitality, ideally in a management role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Top notch customer service skills with a can-do attitude
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certification and a Food Handling/Safety certificate is essential, while a professional qualification in Business Management, Events or a Hospitality Course is highly regarded
