Our Chief Technology Office is at the forefront of delivering comprehensive Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and information services to the City. Our portfolio includes infrastructure, communications, ICT policies, application management, ICT project management, and service management.
About your new role
As Functional Lead, you will provide strategic leadership to ensure the alignment and success of functional activities within ICT projects. This role involves collaborating closely with diverse business units to clarify objectives, tackle challenges, and maximize value from applications and software platforms through efficient coordination with internal teams and external vendors.

We're looking for people who have:
- Strong understanding of ICT systems and relevant technologies, with the ability to contribute to technical discussions.
- Proven experience in leading teams of functional analysts, setting clear goals, prioritising tasks, and effectively managing resources.
- Ability to align functional activities with organisational goals, develop and implement strategies for operational efficiency and project success.
- Skill in translating business requirements into functional specifications, collaborating with stakeholders to understand needs, and deliver effective solutions.
- Experience in managing vendor relationships, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards, and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in analysing complex problems, making data-driven decisions, overseeing quality assurance processes, and ensuring functional deliverables meet requirements.
