The Role
The role will be responsible for managing Functional Safety throughout the project lifecycle, from order of magnitude to pre-feasibility, feasibility and execution. The Project Lead will develop scopes of work and manage the contractor deliverables relating to Functional Safety.
- Effectively manage Functional Safety requirements (process safety or machine) through the from order of magnitude to pre-feasibility, feasibility and execution stages of the projects;
- Follow the Sustaining Capital Project Management Framework and apply templates and assurance processes to the project deliverables;
- Engage regularly and respectfully with internal and external stakeholders; and
- Perform detailed review of contractor deliverables in accordance with the scope, applicable specifications and site requirements.
About you
- Control systems engineer or electrical engineer background; amd
- Previous experience in a similar role on a mining or oil / gas project.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- IPS architectures, equipment selection, installation requirements
- SIL determination calculations with regard to RRF, PFD, PFDavg, PTI, MTTR, DC
- How to calculate the SFF
- Develop SRS and SSRS documentation
- Verification and Validation requirements and documentation
