The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the testing efforts for our software applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. The Functional Test Lead will work closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, identify and document defects, and ensure the successful delivery of the products. This role will also involve leading the Functional Testing for an ERP project.
Functional Test Manager
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for Functional Testing of software applications, with a focus on ERP system
- Create detailed, well-structured test cases based on functional requirements and technical specification.
- Lead the execution of Functional Test cases, ensuring thorough testing of all features and functionality.
- Plan and execute integration tests to ensure seamless interaction between different system components.
- Conduct performance testing to assess the responsiveness, stability, and scalability of software application.
- Identify, document, and track defects using a defect management system. Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage of Functional Testing.
- Design and lead user acceptance testing, ensuring that the final product meets user requirements and expectation.
- Support system implementation efforts, including go-live preparation and post-implementation testing.
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements and expectation.
- Identify opportunities for improving the testing process and implement best practices to enhance the quality and efficiency of testing effort.
- Provide regular reports on test progress, defect status, and overall quality metrics to stakeholder.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior
- Extensive experience in Functional Testing, integration testing, performance testing, software testing, and user acceptance testing
- Proven experience in leading Functional Testing for ERP project.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, QTP, JUnit).
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC). Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Quality Center).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
