Your Impact

Join Asahi Beverages as a Maintenance Fitter and become an essential pillar of our operations. Your role will revolve around ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of our assets, guaranteeing that production requirements and KPIs are not just met, but exceeded. As a key member of our Maintenance Team, you'll play a crucial role in swiftly addressing issues and fostering a culture of proactive maintenance, all aimed at driving down production costs through effective engineering management.

This position offers a dynamic blend of maintenance tasks and operational support, providing an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on our production processes.

Please note: Embrace our flexible scheduling options offering a fantastic work/life balance. Enjoy 12-hour shifts, three days a week, with opportunities on both the front-end and back-end, spanning across days and nights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Specialised maintenance work will constitute the majority (60-70%) of your time, showcasing your expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
  • Serve as the custodian of the Maintenance Program for your designated area, ensuring the effectiveness of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Utilise your specialist knowledge to continuously improve process capability within the plant, driving efficiencies and optimising performance.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials and provide mentorship to other artisans, sharing your wealth of expertise.
  • Execute scheduled maintenance tasks, swiftly address breakdowns, and actively participate in maintenance days to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in higher-order problem-solving, tackling challenges head-on to maintain seamless operations.
  • Conduct regular checks to verify that packaging machines are configured correctly, maintaining quality, safety and efficiency standards.

  • Trade qualified mechanical fitter.
  • Bring extensive experience in specialised maintenance roles, showcasing your proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
  • Possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for continuous improvement, driving efficiencies and optimising processes.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to coach and mentor operational team members, fostering a culture of excellence.
