The RoleReporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, this position is responsible for the planning, administration and delivery of a high level of service to members across all events and functions at the club. This is a full-time position which is required to be available to work a flexible roster which includes evenings and weekends as well as weekdays in line with event activities. Key Responsibilities will include: Implementing and maintaining processes, policies and structure to the functions department with the focus on improving standards of service across the Functions Department; Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Functions Department in a hands-on capacity; Provide people management, operational and admin support to the F&B Manager for the overall running of the F&B department; Run event end to end to ensure the experience provided to members and their guests is of the highest quality and is delivered professionally in line with the Clubs exceptional service standards and budget requirements; Prepare various correspondence, reports or documents and ensure confidential matters are dealt with professionally; Ensure that billing for all functions and events is charged and processed correctly as per Event Order instructions on the day of the event; Liaise with the Sommelier to ensure that the POS system is accurate and up to date with current products and pricing; Guide and work with F&B Supervisor to manage and develop direct reports including training and development, rostering to labour standards and responsibility for the output of staff within each department; Create and maintain a culture of open communication transparency, support and collaboration, ensuring staff behave in a manner which is reflective of Club Values. What does the Club need from you? Experience working in a Food & Beverage Operations role preferably with a background in Functions and or Events; Experience managing and leading a team of up to 30 staff; Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, POS, OpenTable); Up to date with food and beverage trends and best practices; A strong knowledge of food and beverage pairings; Solid understanding of pricing, budgets and cost controls; Knowledge of sequence of service for events and extensive food and beverage knowledge; An ability to prioritise workload, manage time and scheduled tasks whilst remaining resilient and adaptable to changing priorities; Ensure that all event agendas and briefs are met; Ensure that any member complaints are actioned and where possible resolved.
