Role Type – Part Time (4 days), 12 Month Contract 

About the Role

The Funding Admissions & Referrals Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the overall achievement of funding outcomes by providing governance and support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure Admissions & contract compliance prior to and on admission. The Funding Admissions & Referrals Specialist plays a role in fulfilling Regis' purpose and delivering our Continuity of Carer model. Our holistic approach emphasises understanding each resident's physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs for improved care outcomes, greater continuity, and deeper relationships between residents and their care team.

 Our Continuity of Carer model has a holistic view to how we care for our residents by allocating the same carer to the same group of residents, as often as possible. We know this is better for our residents, that it builds trusted relationships and is more fulfilling for you – our future employee. 

Responsibilities

Liaise with administration and admissions teams to actively coordinate documentation for all admissions, discharge, respite residents

Develop and maintain open and regular communications and relationships with staff across Regis and being a contact point with Services Australia, My Aged Care, DVA & the Aged Care Assessment Team with regard to government subsidy recovery & resident details 

Analysis, data collection and reporting 

Ensure that the communication of the status of recovered subsidies are communicated to the relevant Regis staff in a timely and accurate manner

Participate where applicable in the implementation of continuous improvement work practices, including the ongoing development of appropriate systems generated exception reports and controls

Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Services Australia/DVA/Assessment staff

What you will bring

Sound proven written and communication skills (experienced with Microsoft suite of products including email and excel) 

Good to intermediate excel skills 

Demonstrated knowledge or an ability to quickly acquire knowledge of diverse software systems and the use of Aged Care Provider portal – PRODA, My Aged Care Portal, Epicor, SalesForce & Autumn Care 

Demonstrated effective time management skills 

Have a sound understanding of processes, Aged Care Legislation & funding 

Ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision 

Attention to detail and great customer service skills and ethic; 

Positive and enthusiastic attitude 

Previous experience with data analysis 

Proven knowledge or formal qualification in health care financials
