AddressVacancies exists for a Gardener / Maintenance Handyperson position in the Support Services Department. Full Time and Part Time positions available.

These include kitchen and food services, cleaning, supply, building and environmental maintenance. Additionally, the EGHS Ararat campus operates and maintains its own café (Café Pyrenees) available to all staff, patients, visitors and the wider community. Each of these program areas are vital to ensuring the safe, efficient and welcoming environment of EGHS.
What we OfferAbout the Role
- Undertake general maintenance and garden work as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator
- Undertake all duties as described in the relevant work schedules
- Participate in a regular preventative maintenance program as set out by the Maintenance Coordinator
- Promote and encourage safe work practices for all staff and contractors
- Maintain gardens and grounds, tools and equipment
- The ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Good work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to engage and support others as part of a collaborative team
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively
- Are flexible to job needs
- Experience in garden work (Horticulture experience would be advantageous)
- Be friendly and have a great manner with all customers
- Knowledge of Occupation Health & Safety (OH&S)
- Experience in preventative and general maintenance would be advantageous
Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance (Including COVID-19) and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police and Working With Children Checks)
