One Hill Estate is one of Tasmania's premier retirement villages. Nestled in Seven Mile Beach, our village offers a relaxed lifestyle for retirees ready to put their feet up. The village consists of 50 villas and around 80 residents. We aim to ensure our residents enjoy a comfortable and carefree lifestyle without the worry of maintaining their homes.
Qualifications & experience
- Qualification or demonstrated experience in, and passion for, landscaping and general garden & grounds maintenance.
- Experience in a maintenance role and/or demonstrated competence as a handyman.
- Time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised and with initiative.
- Honest, helpful and customer focused.
- Understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety requirements of the position.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Upkeep of village gardens & grounds to a high standard.
- Installation and maintenance of watering systems.
- Villa and Community Centre general maintenance & repairs.
- Preventative Maintenance.
- Assist with preparing vacant villas ready for incoming residents.
- Engage and communicate with contractors.
Benefits
- The position is initially structured for 25-30 hours per week, with the possibility of increasing hours in the future. These hours provide flexibility and can be spread across four or five days per week, or as mutually agreed upon by both parties.
