Form of workThis role will spearhead critical plant outages and projects, ensuring the safe and efficient return to service of major power generating plants. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, providing expert technical advice on Gas Turbines and associated components maintenance and operations.

- Develop work scopes and schedules for work to be carried out by internal and external staff.
- Provide expert technical advice on Gas Turbines and associated components maintenance and operations to improve asset reliability.
- Participate in factory acceptance testing and visit OEM and Vendor facilities to inspect and quality check the work undertaken on major turbine components such as rotor manufacturing and machining, blading, and testing.
- Execute and deliver major outage and project work including planning, scheduling to expected safety standards.
- Develop scopes, technical specifications and procedures relating to the repair and inspection of major power generating plant such as Gas turbine hot gas path components, fuel nozzles, rotor components, and end of life assessment of major turbine components
- Investigate and troubleshoot plant operational problems, as reported by others or observed through frequent contact with the plant, devise and recommend or initiate solutions.
- Solid understanding of other power plant equipment, such as generators, control systems, that form part of a power generation facility.
- Analyse plant failures and perform root cause analysis.
- Carry out technical inspection, prepare reports with recommendations and arrange necessary actions.
- Relevant engineering qualifications or trade certificates with advanced diplomas with strong focus on power generation.
- WA Driver's Licence Class "C" or "C-A" Relevant industry, experience, skill and knowledge in the following areas is essential:
- Previous experience as a Field Engineer or Field Technical Representative with major OEM in the areas of Gas Turbines, Aero Turbines, and Power Generation such as GE, Siemens, Alsthom, Mitsubishi.
- Operations and maintenance in the power generation, or Oil and Gas industry.Proficiency in use of key computer systems, including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and business software or comparable systems.
- 12 month contract oopportunity with the view of extend or permanent roleKwinana based with ad hoc visits to Pinjar
