Gatehouse Operator - South Burnett Region

We are recruiting for permanent part time and relief Gatehouse Operators at the multiple locations across the South Burnett Region.

You shall be responsible for the efficient and accurate operation of Council’s operating software as well as the general maintenance and upkeep of the Transfer Station area.

This position requires a candidate who can provide impeccable customer service and is confident in the use of computers and phones but who also loves to get out in your PPE with the mower & whipper snipper to keep your workplace looking absolutely tip top!

Where would you like to work?

• Nanango, Murgon and Wondai - permanent part time and relief operator roles, working Monday to Sunday.
• Wattle Camp - permanent part time and relief operator roles, working Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday.

In this role you will:

• Operate ticketing software to capture data for all incoming and outgoing loads

• Provide high level customer service;

• Hold a current manual driver licence;

• Hold a White Card or equivalent;

• Assisting onsite customers with the correct unloading areas.

• Some manual labour will be required for all of these roles.

• Administration support where required:

  - Sound knowledge of Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams)

  - Reconciliation documentation as required;

  - Some money handling may be required;

  - Answering phone enquiries.
