The position duties are listed below:
- Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies;
- Preparing financial statements (including statement of profit and loss, balance sheet and statement of cash flow) for board meeting on a monthly basis;
- Preparing cash flow forecast on a weekly basis;
- Preparing the pay monthly BAS lodgement for GST payable and PAYG withheld;
- Monitoring operating costs and investigating material budget variances on a monthly basis;
- Providing advice on cost saving strategies to management.
- Implementing accounting system and software.
- Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements.
- Monitoring and maintaining internal control policies
- Liaising with external auditors and ATO
Qualification and essential skill requirements
- Minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree with Accountant major
- Minimum 3 years working experience in similar role
- Experience with an Accounting software desirable
- Strong organisational, attention to detail and data management skills
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly
