JewishCare has been the major provider of services to the community in Sydney for over 80 years. In order to achieve our mission of supporting and strengthening the resilience and independence of the community, we offer assistance in the areas of Child and Family Services, Mental Health Programs, Disability Services and Community Aged Services. To be considered for casual and part time Home Care Employee roles you should generally have good availability between 0900 and 1700 Monday to Fridays for a minimum of 4 days per week.
For Disability Support Workers roles you will generally need to be available mornings from 0600 to midday and/or afternoons from 1400 to 2200. Roles in our group homes will also require you to undertake sleepovers and generally be available on weekends. It is essential that you are available for at least 4 days per week.
Our roles include:
Home Care Employee working with the aged or people with a disability in their own homes providing personal care (showering) or domestic assistance (cleaning, shopping).
Disability Support Worker working with clients with a disability in a community or residential/supported accommodation setting providing personal care, domestic assistance or lifestyle support.
Mental Health Support Worker working with clients in Mental Health who receive funding by the NDIS
Case Managers and Case Workers working with clients in the areas of Aged Care, Disability, Families, Children and people with Mental Health issues.
IT, Facilities, HR, Accounts, Payroll Generally you will require tertiary qualifications and experience in your chosen discipline to be considered for office based roles.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Preferably hold Tertiary Qualifications (Aged, Disability, Social Work, Case Management, Finance, HR, etc..)
Intermediate to advanced computer skills and previous experience using client management software (office based) and mobile smart phone based mobility software (Disability Support Work and Home Care Work).
A NSW driving licence (or international) and a car for Disability Support Worker and Home Care positions.
A driver’s licence for most office based roles.
Part time employment may not be available for some roles. Please submit your resume and cover letter specifying the type of role you are interested in.
