Talent Focus is seeking a hands-on General Assembler to join small a design-focused company specialising in the design, supply, and installation of street/outdoor furniture nationwide. Be a part of a young and dynamic manufacturer with a strong position in the market for their high-quality modified and catalogued furniture for and communal public spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Machine operations of timber profiles using panel/drop saws, routers, and a combination of Machines. In-house training provided.
- Woodwork including cutting, sawing, edging, docking and joinery.
- Assembly of furniture, and preparing components for work.
- Assembly finishing and oiling of street furniture including timber seats, benches, and bins to strict specifications using a variety of hand tools.
- Read specification and technical production drawings/blueprints.
- Preparing jigs, receipt of components, and packing of finished goods.
- Working closely with our Production Coordinator making sure that all delivery commitments are met.
- Safety and quality assurance and support within the assembly team to meet the product specification requirements.
- Efficiently meet strict deadlines, effective time management and follow workflow to meet delivery requirements.
- The role requires the operation of some timber work tools and machinery.
- Follow safety and working procedure guidelines.
- Strive for efficiency and follow workflow to meet delivery requirements.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Receiving and checking goods from external suppliers.
- Palletising, wrapping and packing finished products ready before shipping.
- Physically Fit - Heavy lifting of up to 20kgs
- Strong machine operations, general hand and power tool experience,
- LF Forklift Licence + Conventional Forklift operation experience,
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience and sound understanding of standard manufacturing processes and comfortable working within a variety of manufacturing methods.
- Solid experience and understanding of Solidworks/CAD standard drawings,
- Sheet metal, Welding and Fabrication experience,
- NSW Unrestricted Drivers Licence,
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident,
