AddressThis is a senior leadership role for an experienced fashion retailer with strong product, brand, operations and leadership experience. You will spearhead the commercial and operational leadership across the business and will drive the brands overall strategic direction, staying true to the brand purpose and pillars. The role necessitates strong people leadership capabilities, exceptional financial and omni-channel operational acumen, and in-depth fashion leadership experience within design-led apparel.
You will engage the team to execute and deliver on all business objectives and commercial outcomes through effective departmental planning and the implementation of clear performance objectives.
The successful General Manager will partner closely with the CEO to lead a high-performance team and brand, supporting an exciting local and international omni-channel growth trajectory. The GM of SABA also forms part of the Executive team for APG & Co.

The Role
STRATEGY
1. CUSTOMER â Ensure a clear strategy and direction for the brand acknowledging our existing customer, and the development of a new customer base keeping in line with the Brand DNA.
2. PRODUCT â Lead the execution of improved product, assortment, trends, fabrication and silhouette continually repositing the SABA brand to be more desirable
3. GROWTH â Identify and deliver on new opportunities for growth (e.g. new categories, marketing activities, collaborations)
4. MARKETING & CREATIVE - Lead the development and execution of marketing and sales strategies to increase brand awareness, brand consideration and customer acquisition, and the creation of creative assets to support these strategies
FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE
1. TRADE - Driving sales by trading stock to ensure best return in investment and retaining healthy covers.
2. ECOMMERCE PERFORMANCE - Oversee online performance for all SABA digital channels including sales and profit budgets, traffic, conversion and ATV growth
3. P&L - effectively manage cash flow to exceed budgeted sales targets and budgeted gross profit targets and identify and understand trends in trading results to prepare researched and well-reasoned re-forecasts, alongside clearly defined strategy presentations.

- Create and cultivate a high performing leadership team by having clear direction and alignment for each team member
- Ensure all brand team members have a constructive working relationship with cross functional teams
- Support employee performance, ensuring that productivity is high and innovation and creativity are nurtured and encouraged
- Be a proactive and collaborative member of the APG & Co executive team

- Deep retail domain experience, at a senior level
- Demonstrate exceptional team leadership
- Proven ability to achieve sell through and sales with strong product performance knowledge
- High level of trading and commercial skills
- Ability to identify new, and maintain existing customers
