About the role
A General Assistant - Toolstore person is responsible for providing high level customer service to enhance the effective and efficient delivery of frontline class support. Your day-to-day activities will include but not limited to supporting students by contributing to a positive learning experience, general administration work, purchasing and organising tools, equipment and materials for students and staff. This position will carry out manual handling activities and may be required to work to a roster.
This is a 1 x Full-time (35 hours/week) part year permanent position (44 weeks / year) located at Belmont.
About You
- You are a self-starter who is willing to be hands-on to support learning outcomes and delivery in the classroom.
- You are excited to share your industry knowledge and experience with others and available for casual work.
- You have demonstrated experience working within a trade environment, using a range of hand and power tools and able to conduct minor repairs and maintenance.
- You have the ability to work as a team member or with limited supervision.
Highly Desirable:
- General I.T capability with a demonstrated ability and willingness to stay on top of e-mail communications, timesheets, rosters and other ad-hoc administrative tasks
- Demonstrated experience to follow WH&S instructions such as using correct PPE and following Safe Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Demonstrated experience in Electrical Trades
