Join a multi boutique asset manager, which a specialist focus on managed equities and agriculture to retail and institutional investors. As part of the role you will be required to do the following:
Set up the in-house function for the business and establish relationships with key external law firms;
Provide timely commercial legal advice to support the business, including in respect of investment funds and financial services, property, employment, stamp duty, Foreign Investment Review Board applications and general commercial matters;
Draft, negotiate and review a wide range of legal agreements and provide lead legal support in the negotiation of key projects and transactions;
Provide portfolio and financial product advice, including capital raising, co investment and deal structuring;
Maintenance of registers including register of members and directors;
Organisation and co-ordination of Board Meetings including preparation of Agenda, taking and timely completion of minutes; and
Management of Board and Committee papers.
Our client believes this role is best suited a lawyer with 7-14 years PQE and from a leading law firm and for someone who has specialised in either corporate M&A or funds law. Ideally, you will also have had experience from a secondment or experience from another financial services organisation.
