- Senior Legal Counsel role - disputes side. Potential to oversee small Legal team
- Mix of project classes; transport infrastructure, defence, and energy projects
- Ongoing successes at this multinational, infrastructure and construction group with a proven track record across a range of project classes is necessitating the expansion of their legal team.
- Structurally, the team is primarily divided down front-end and back-end lines, with some projects teams that span both.
- A need has arisen for a Senior Corporate Counsel to drive some complex dispute work.
- For those with sufficient experience / acumen, there will potential be scope to take on a leadership opportunity over a team of projects lawyers (3-4)
- Of note, matters tend not to be assigned on a location or project type basis – a point of difference with some of their larger contemporaries in the market.
- There will therefore be opportunity to take ownership on a range of national transport infrastructure, defence, and energy projects and their associated disputes.
- A relatively flat structure, the GC has encouraged a culture of ‘see a problem, fix a problem’, endeavouring to remove the bureaucracy and red-tape present in some similar environments.
- Furthermore, the legal team has made significant inroads to secure a trusted seat at the decision-making table, ensuring strong commercial integration into the business.
- Flexible working conditions exist with a 60/40 office to WFH arrangement the standard.
- Ideally you will bring 8-12 plus yrs' PAE.
- Those with six plus are encouraged to reach out on a watching brief basis.
- A focus on high-end infrastructure, engineering, and construction disputes.
- Ideally you will bring in-house experience or exposure to in-house through a wholesome secondment. Those coming from practice will be in a contractor-heavy practice.
