General labouring work with a water infrastructure team in the Bathurstarea. Immediate start available, approximately 2-3 months work initially with possibility of extending for good quality workers.
Duties will be based around labour intensive work tasks within water management teams. Physical work tasks will be required in this role, including manual handling tasks, heavy lifting, physical work tasks, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. A sound level of fitness will be essential.
Applicants of particular interest will have:
- Current vaccination for Hepatitis will be highly desirable
- current white card - essential;
- driver licence - with MR or above an advantage but not essential;
- proven ability to work effectively as a team member;
- ability to meet the physical demands of a position requiring considerable labouring work;
- sound knowledge in the metric system of measurement;
- basic plumbing, irrigation or pipeline experience for the construction of new water and sewer mains would be advantageous but not essential
- any previous experience in the utilisation of small plant used in the construction industry would be helpful, but is not essential
- Crane chase/dogman certificate and/or confined space ticket would be desirable, as would experience in the laying of concrete.
