Our client is a rapidly-growing service provider within the facilities services industry. Due to ambitious growth plans, they require a commercially-minded General Manager to ensure that the company has adequate structures in place to support such growth.
Reporting to the Director and Board, the GM will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the day-to-day business activities, as well as overseeing the continued growth and development of a high-performing workforce that prides itself on providing exceptional service to its client base.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain a high-performing culture that exemplifies the company values;
- Work closely with the Director to understand the key business drivers, growth strategy, and targets;
- Identify business opportunities and risks;
- Present to the board/shareholders quarterly updates;
- Contribute to the drive of new business through new meetings and networking within the industry;
- Review of weekly statistics reports to maintain clear & concise understanding of the key metrics;
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Awards and FairWork requirements.
- Previous senior leadership experience within both operational & commercially-focussed roles;
- Prior experience within a fast-growth business environment is strongly preferred;
- Senior management experience within a service-based business/organisation will be viewed favourably;
- Possess a high level of emotional intelligence and communication skills;
- Be able to identify business risks and create effective solutions;
- Are ambitious and have a growth mindset, where you encourage others to grow and come along for the journey;
- You can build meaningful relationships quickly;
