Our client's building and construction solutions business has been acknowledged as an industry pioneer, successfully achieving the 7-star rating for its product suite.
Aligned with the organisation's aggressive future growth strategy, the business is seeking a highly credential led General Manager to oversee the sales, operations, design and manufacturing operations.
These objectives will be delivered via leadership, a focussed go to market strategy, driving a culture of excellence and someone well networked within the Windows and Construction Manufacturing sectors.
This exciting opportunity will be based in Central Victoria.
The Role
Reporting to the Executive Director, as General Manager you will be a pivotal member of the Executive Leadership Team, with full remit for the Manufacturing division of this group.
With strong commitment to excellence and innovation, our client is a highly respected and trusted brand and deservedly seeks a highly credential led and well-networked General Manager (EGM) with a proven track to lead teams, with breadth across leading sales and operations, whilst building a high-performance culture across the manufacturing plant.
You will have full profit & loss responsibility and be responsible for driving sales growth and customer experience. In addition, you will be an innovative thinker with the skills to build and present business cases and maximise on new opportunities to grow the organisation's footprint.
Core focus areas for this leadership role are encompassed via the capabilities outlined below.
- Gaining in-depth knowledge of plant production & products, sales processes, and market positioning.
- Analysing the competitive landscape to identify tactical and strategic opportunities for revenue growth.
- Collaborating with the executive leadership team to develop effective strategies that exceed targets.
- Making decisive decisions and driving rapid understanding through effective questioning.
- Developing well-considered business cases and proposals to drive continuous improvement and growth.
- Proficient with financial reporting and a well-rounded understanding of managing a full P/L business and associated cash flow management.
- Demonstrate aptitude and understanding of contractual terms and conditions, legal and financial requirements in the building industry.
- Display an ability to lead, manage and motivate the team to maximise revenue outcome.
Your Profile
You will be an engaging and accomplished EGM / General Manager, with a proven track record of success in driving plant operational excellence, sales growth and leading high-performance teams within the Home Building, Building Materials, or Construction industry.
Experience within either Windows or related Construction Manufacturing will be highly desirable. You will need to be based in Central Highlands Victoria.
You will have demonstrable plant operational, safety-first mind-set, commercial and sales experience with the ability to review and develop strategies around innovating into new markets to drive growth.
You will possess the confidence to work decisively and can inspire and lead teams within a manufacturing plant environment.
