Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the CEO, this COO role will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives of our clients' entities. This position is crucial for supporting ambitious growth plans and ensuring operational excellence across all sectors of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Strategy: Collaborate closely with the CEO to develop and implement robust strategic plans. Translate overarching goals into detailed operational initiatives aligned with our mission.
- Team Leadership: Drive a high-performance culture across our diverse teams, enhancing recruitment, development, and retention strategies to build on our workforce of 600+ employees.
- Process Optimisation: Spearhead efficiency improvements, utilise key performance indicators to gauge success, and lead continuous enhancement efforts across all operational facets.
- Resource Management: Manage significant budgets and resources, ensuring optimal allocation to support strategic objectives and maximise operational output.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks, maintaining rigorous compliance with industry standards and safeguarding company assets.
- Strategic Partnerships: Strengthen existing partnerships and forge new alliances to bolster market position and drive innovation.
- Technology and Innovation: Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, integrating cutting-edge solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to uphold stringent standards and ensure all operations adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
- Extensive executive leadership experience, ideally as a COO or in a comparable role within the agriculture or related industries.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex operations and leading significant growth initiatives.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Robust communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of leading diverse teams and collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Strong financial acumen and proven track record in effective budget management.
What We Offer:
- A competitive base salary of $150,000 to $160,000, with potential earnings exceeding $200,000 including superannuation and performance-based bonuses.
