General Manager Marine Industry – Darwin
All Aspects Recruitment & HR Services are recruiting for a General Manager for a locally owned business, that was established in 1980 and located on the Bay in Darwin.

Our client is the leading supplier of products and services to the local commercial industry, private fishing and leisure marine enthusiasts.

About You
Are you a motivated individual with strong attention to detail and a focus on customer service. Working with a variety of team members and customers, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build solid, long-term relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
The Role
- Managing the day-to-day, end to end operations of the business
- Motivate the team to achieve business objectives
- Work collaboratively with staff to ensure a continuous improvement culture within the team
- Processing sales transactions
- Providing advice and information on products
- Supporting customer queries and offering solutions
- Maintaining store displays and ensuring a well-presented store
- Processing and maintaining customer orders
- Business Development through sales generation, attracting new clients and build the company’s customer base.
What We Want
- Previous retail and/or marine experience – you might be a retail star, or a fisho looking for a break from the boat
- Previous sales experience and strong understanding of the sales process
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Positive and enthusiastic approach to selling and managing client expectations
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including MS Office- Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to multi-task, to cope with pressure, prioritize workload and meet agreed time lines.
- Excellent attention to detail, consistent follow through and reliable documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels.
- Demonstrate high level cross-cultural, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise, engage and coordinate across a wide range of constituents and external stakeholders.
- Current and valid driver's license
