About You

If you are a highly motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for Automation & Measurement services, we would love to hear from you. Based in Darwin and as the NT General Manager, you will be responsible for leading the sales team to achieve growth and managing operations in the Northern Territory.  Your leadership and selling skills will be essential in achieving sales targets, expanding the customer base, and ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our operations.  You will collaborate with a team of experienced professionals, including service technicians, operations staff, and customer support representatives.

About the Role

• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and increase market penetration in NT, P&L management for NT operations.
• Drive cost reduction activities in service, logistics, expenses, travel and materials.
• Lead and motivate a team of sales representatives, service technicians, and engineers so that productivity and output are maximised. Provide annual reviews that drive development and performance. Manage team performance.
• Foster strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and by providing exceptional customer service.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis and prospecting to identify new business opportunities.
• Ensure that resourcing, equipment, processes and facilities are effectively utilised and continually improved.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of projects.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements and collaborate on marketing strategy.
• Provide regular performance reports, sales forecasts, and market analysis to the senior management team.
• Provide leadership to ensure compliance with company policy, company values, WHS and ISO9001 standards & legislation.

What You Bring

• Trade Based qualifications (Electrical, Mechanical) or suitable equivalent experience, OR
• Degree Level Qualifications in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a state manager or in a similar leadership role within an industrial environment.
• Project management qualifications and/or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent sales, negotiation and closing skills, including experience using CRM.
• Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing teams and achieving sales targets.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing / 5S / Six Sigma is a distinct advantage.
• Very strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• The ability to travel throughout NT and nationally as required.
