General Manager Operations

We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join us as our full time General Manager Operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Finance and Operating Officer, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing the heart of our operations, ensuring excellence in every aspect of our services.

The role:

At Warrina Homes, we're committed to delivering exceptional care and services to our residents. As our General Manager Operations, you'll be responsible for:

• Managing the operations of our diverse infrastructure, including Aged Care Facilities, Serviced Apartments, and Retirement Villages.
• Coordinate and oversee all the organisation’s scheduled preventative and responsive maintenance works programs including buildings, plant, equipment and machinery.
• Coordinating site service contracts and maintaining our vehicle fleet to ensure seamless operations.
• Championing our commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement, always striving to enhance the quality of care we provide.
• Developing strategic partnerships and networks with external providers to optimize our operations and service delivery.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards, prioritizing the well-being of our residents and staff. 
• Champion safety, efficiency, and cost-effective operations throughout the organisation.
• Foster a positive leadership style to enhance the corporate culture and encourage teamwork and collaboration between teams.
• Assess current operational practices and introduce effective changes to optimise processes.

Special Conditions:

• Flexible approach to working hours with some out of hours work may be required. 
• Available to support team that is on-call roster should it be required.

Criteria:

Essential Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years managerial experience
• Trade qualification or extensive maintenance experience.
• Current driver's license and current Aged Care Specific Police Clearance.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Understanding of maintenance regulations.
• Empathy and organizational skills.
• Current flu Vaccination

Desirable Characteristics:

• Building industry or project management qualification.
• Previous experience in Aged Care.
• Leadership or management qualification.
• Testing and tagging certification.
