The Organisation:
No to Violence (NTV) is Australia’s peak body for individuals and organisations that work with men that use violence. It provides training, sector development and advocacy across the sector. It also operates the Men’s Referral Service, providing a counselling service and referral pathways directly to men who use violence.
As a pro-feminist organisation, women and children are at the centre of what NTV does – by ending men’s use of family violence, families, individuals and communities are safer.
The Role:
The General Manager of People & Culture (GM P&C) is a newly created position reporting directly to the CEO and will be an integral member of the Senior Executive Team. Leading a small team across People & Culture, as well as Business Support, the GM P&C will lead the delivery of innovative human resource and organisational development strategy, processes and services, as well as overseeing the day-to-day business support services.
Key result areas are to provide
- P&C leadership and advice to NTV employees
- P&C leadership and advice to the NTV Board, CEO, Executive team, & externally
- Infrastructure and information leadership and advice to the NTV Board, CEO, Executive team, & externally
The Person:
- To be successful in this exciting role it is essential that you have a:
- successful and proven record as an inclusive, senior people leader in a service-led environment.
- demonstrated ability to develop, lead and implement a broad range of contemporary HR and organisational development strategies, programs, policies and operational practices to successfully support the strategic objectives of the business
- good understanding of employment law (including OHS) comprising experience of interpreting and implementing Awards and EAs and preparing employment contract templates.
- Tertiary qualification in HR Management or a related field, or equivalent HR management experience.
Employment is conditional upon receipt of satisfactory references and a Police records check. Occasional regional and interstate travel will be required from time to time.
