This is an exciting opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within Anglicare WA. As General Manager Practice Excellence you work to support the delivery of high quality integrated services and support the strategic direction of Anglicare WA.  Key to this role is ensuring robust practice governance across all our service areas.  Other responsibilities include the development of practice related policies and procedures, and oversight of client safety and risk assessment and response processes, complaint reviews, clinical practice and staff supervision practices.

You will work collaboratively across the organisation and have demonstrated experience building strong, trusted relationships.  You will bring your significant expertise gained through previous experience in community services, as well as high order communication skills, to coordinate the review of all service delivery complaints and to ensure recommended actions are implemented.  You will work to influence and champion a risk management focus, managing and addressing concerns to ensure continuous improvement to process and practice is embedded across services.

You will be a key stakeholder in organisational accreditation projects, playing a lead role in ensuring we attain and retain key accreditations.  In particular, you will lead our continuous focus on child and youth safe service delivery practices.

You will lead a team of highly experienced Practice Consultants, who work in the speciality areas of Family Law Services, Mental Health and Counselling, Financial Wellbeing, Youth Services, Family and Domestic Violence and Children and Families.  You will have significant impact and influence on the way we deliver services across the state.  Additionally, you will use your skills in developing and nurturing relationships with sector stakeholders, local communities and service partners to expand Anglicare WA's footprint and impact.

To be successful you will have:

  • Tertiary Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or human services, with specialist knowledge and experience relevant to the position
  • Significant demonstrated experience delivering and/or managing community and/or clinical services
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams including recruitment, induction and performance development/management
  • Exceptional understanding of practice / clinical governance frameworks and their application
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining constructive, respectful and collaborative relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead change at all levels of the organisation
  • Skills in strategic planning, work planning and project management
  • High level negotiation, conflict resolution and problem solving skills
  • Ability to be innovative and flexible, work collaboratively, motivate staff and work effectively under pressure
  • Well-developed knowledge of the community services sector, including Government and not-for-profit organisations

The successful candidate must have a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check, and a WA Drivers Licence.

  • Salary circa $160,000 per annum plus 11% superannuation, commensurate with experience
