THE OPPORTUNITY
As the General Manager Residential Services, you will lead the delivery of resident focused care and have overall quality, financial and operational accountability for our Residential Aged Care Facilities at Paradise and Campbelltown. This role will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of high-quality services in accordance with legislation through effective management and leadership of the workforce, financial and other resources.
Working as part of an experienced Leadership Team, you will ensure consistent compliance with all Aged Care Quality Standards, as well as Warrina Homes’ policies and procedures, while driving best industry practice.
Other responsibilities include:
• Leading and supporting staff in the delivery of person-centred care.
• Ensure clinical audit reports are reviewed monthly and that data is analysed, and actions taken as required to ensure compliance.
• Ensure Clinical Care Coordinators and Care Managers complete assessments and planning of care for all residents and are evaluated timeously.
• Ensure the Care Manager and Clinical Care Coordinators complete the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) assessment in a timely manner as per the legislative requirement.
• Work in collaboration with various departments (such as the Human Resources and Hospitality Services Departments) to ensure the effective running of the facility.
• Assist with the management and monitoring of complaints.
• Complete monthly reports and gather information to support the Executive Manager Residential Services.

For this appointment, Warrina Homes is seeking an established Aged Care professional with strong facilities management focus.
Candidates with the following experiences and skillsets are encouraged to apply:
• Formal qualification and registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Postgraduate qualification in Nursing would be beneficial.
• At least 3 years’ experience in actively leading and supporting a team to ensure appropriately skilled staff are recruited, mentored and rostered to achieve optimum outcomes for all stakeholders.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Aged Care or complex Healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Standards and reform agenda.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and implement transformative change within teams and organisations.
• Experience in representing and presenting to Executive Committees and Boards.
• Customer-driven approach and exposure to research and innovation methodologies.
• Identify and participate in opportunities for improvement in the delivery of service to the Residents and contribute to the Continuous Improvement process.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation applicable to Residential Aged Care Services including funding and accreditation systems and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as proven strengths in the ability to relate to stakeholders and staff on all levels.
• Experience in managing and leading teams through change, collaboration, report writing, and problem solving.
• Demonstrated ability to meet financial outcomes within an Aged Care Service environment including development of annual budgets, financial monitoring and maximisation of income.
• Valid Australian working rights.
• Current South Australian Driver’s Licence
• Current Flu Vaccination
• COVID-19 Vaccinations including Booster is recommended.
• Current Aged Care Specific Police Clearance (or willing to obtain).
