Collaborating closely with internal departments, external agencies, and community stakeholders the role will provide people-centred, customer-centric, strategic leadership while ensuring Council operates within its legislative frameworks. The disaster recovery efforts require the General Manager to oversee and guide the sustainable delivery of services to the organisation and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead disaster recovery efforts, ensuring people, culture, and systems are ready
- Drive strategic management across business units for sustainable outcomes
- Foster relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders
- Develop capabilities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and 5 to 10 years of leadership experience
- Strong strategic planning, project management, and communication skills
- Ability to build professional relationships and deliver exceptional service.
