Position: General Manager
Location: Perth WA
Salary range: $180,000 - $200,000 plus Superannuation
Job Summary:
The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the company's operations, ensuring efficient and effective management of projects, resources, and personnel. You will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and profitability while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company objectives, including business expansion, project acquisition, and market penetration.
Project Management: Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client specifications.
Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize productivity and minimize costs.
Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Financial Management: Manage company finances effectively, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control measures to maximize profitability and minimize risk.
Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices to deliver high-quality construction projects that meet or exceed client expectations.
Safety and Compliance: Promote and enforce safety protocols, regulations, and compliance measures to maintain a safe working environment for employees and adhere to legal requirements.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the management team and staff, fostering a positive work culture, teamwork, and professional development.
Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, pursue leads, and negotiate contracts to expand the company's project portfolio and market presence.
Performance Evaluation: Conduct performance reviews, set performance goals, and provide feedback to employees to enhance individual and team performance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in corporate management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
- Extensive experience in project management and bidding competitions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of strategic and operational plans.
- Experience leading and managing a team to deliver outcomes
- Knowledge of principles and practices of modern management and administration
- Strong experience and understanding of corporate financial management.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
