Our client owns and operates multiple restaurants and bars across Brisbane, all renowned for fantastic luxurious fit-outs, old-fashioned hospitality and world class food and beverage. Since 2011 they have shown steady growth and are now embarking on their most ambitious project to date. Currently under construction, this multi-level venue with be comprised of a restaurant, cocktail bar, bistro and event space. Years of planning, care and consideration have been put into the layout and design. This will be an outstanding landmark in Brisbane's growing hospitality scene.
Role
As General Manager you will work very closely with the company's executive team in delivering the staged opening of the venue's different levels. You will be tasked with building a great team around you, with whom you will collaborate with regarding the implementation of all operational procedures, staffing and more. Alongside the stakeholders you will seek additional areas for strategic growth and development. You will be tasked with ensuring a strong management team is in place and that a strong culture is built within the staff.
We are seeking a General Manager who has experienced complex pre-openings and has a track record of success in their roles.
Candidate
- Extensive experience within a premium hospitality operation and pre-opening experience
- The ability to inspire and lead staff in a fun, fast-paced environment
- High-level financial acumen relevant to P&L management and cost control
- A thorough understanding and execution strategy for systems development and implementation
- Strategic thinker who can look at the big picture and make data-driven decisions
