Form of work Located in the stunning Tamar Valley in Launceston, Tasmania, Newstead Medical (including Kings Meadows Medical Centre and Urgent Care Centre Launceston) is a well-established and locally owned multi-site practice. We are seeking part-time and full-time General Practitioners to join our team.
The Position
VR General Practitioner
Newstead Medical Centre is co-located with an existing pathology collection and pharmacy. The practices are mixed-billing and service a large and diverse patient population. We are accredited for teaching GP registrars, medical students and nursing students.

Essential criteria:
Medical degree
Vocational registration or access to VR MBS items
At least 3 years medical work experience
Unconditional AHPRA registration
Eligible for a Medicare provider number
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to work well within a professional, friendly workplace team
Excellent clinical skills
Desirable criteria:
Interest and recent experience in emergency medicine would be advantageous for Urgent Care work.
Involvement in teaching
