The Position:
Located in 3 different sites in Northwest Queensland, our client is seeking General Practitioner to join their Aboriginal Medical Services on a locum basis. You will be joining the team to the delivery of comprehensive and high-quality primary health care services that are sensitive to community needs, safe and integrated with other providers of supplementary services.
The role:
- Various dates from February to end of 2024 (Minimum 3 weeks)
- $1,800 - $2,000 + GST per day
- No after hour, no on call or weekends
- Regular GP Duties
- Best Practice software - Communicare will be used 1st week of May.
- 15 - 20 minutes appointment,
- 3 - 4 Patient an hour
- Flight Accommodation and hire car provided.
- GPs, Nursing Support, Allied health social care workers and practice manager onsite

The practice:
The client provides a range of medical and clinical services to patients residing in Mount Isa and the Lower Gulf.
A committed team of Doctors, Indigenous Health Professionals, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Administration and Transport staff deliver their Medical Services.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Specialist General Practice registration with AHPRA
- Experience with Best Practice software and Communicare from the 1st week of May
- Previous experience within AMS is an advantage.
