About the role
Ventia have a long partnership with Australian Defence and provide a variety of infrastructure maintenance for the bases across Australia. As such we are seeking a GIS Coordinator to assist in management, development, delivery, and utilisation of Ventia enterprise GIS platforms, enhancing and leveraging the investment in spatial infrastructure (data and software).
This role will also be relied on to provide advice and assistance across the organisation in the appropriate use and application of Ventia's spatial infrastructure to meet business and client needs, including the identification, design, planning and implementation of appropriate spatial solutions

Duties:
- Prepare digital models, plans and datasets.
- Perform data manipulations.
- Maintain data in accordance with Defence and Ventia Spatial Data Management Plan (SDMP) and Geospatial Information Management System.
- Assists and maintain standard operating procedures and policies for geospatial data management and manipulation.
- Assists of software or template resources in conjunction with other team members.
- Provide and/or support the production of special-purpose spatial data sets, analysis, maps and applications as requested by management.
- Ensure all key data, drawings, and information are kept updated, accurate, and accessible for team members.
About You
- Diploma or Degree qualified in spatial sciences or any related geospatial, construction, design and engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance regulations.
- Understanding of National Construction Code and Australian Standards.
- Familiarity with ETL tools and processes
- Experience in data management, including data operations, data quality, and data security.
- Ability to read and comprehend architectural plans.
Prior experience in the following softwares and packages:
- Revit, AutoCAD or other similar CAD packages.
- ESRI Software range, including ArcGIS.
- Vector data handling in one or more CAD/GIS software applications.
