The is your opportunity to join CAR Group as the Global Head of Internal Audit.  Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (with a direct line to the Chair of the Audit Committee), you will provide independent assurance to the Board, Audit Committee and Executive Leadership Team, to ensure that business processes and controls that manage key risks are adequately designed and are operating effectively. You will be responsible for developing and delivering the Internal Audit Plan, supporting process reviews, and ensuring compliance with legal guidelines and internal controls.

What you’ll do

• Grow and develop a small high functioning Global Internal Audit team.
• Evaluate governance, risk and control frameworks across the CAR Group
• Prepare and deliver an annual risk-based Internal Audit plan.
• Recommend appropriate processes and controls to mitigate against key risks.
• Coordinate, drive and deliver simultaneous audit reviews in a timely and efficient manner, without compromising the quality of delivery.
• Conduct technology audits and reviews of systems, applications, and technology processes.
• Demonstrate sound commercial acumen and ensure audit recommendations are balanced, sustainable and risk-based and eliminate opportunities for fraud.
• Produce Audit Committee reports and communicate outcomes to impacted stakeholders.
• Collaborate and connect with the Risk Committee to help drive and maintain a strong risk compliance culture across the business.
• Ensure timely follow up of issues to ensure that they have been actioned by management and reported to the Audit Committee 

What we are looking for?

• Someone who demonstrates our behaviours (we change the game, we own it, we step in, we are curious, we don’t take ourselves too seriously)
• Qualification in a relevant discipline, with professional accreditation (such as CIA or CPA/CA).
• Proven experience in conducting effective risk-based assurance activities in a global complex business (ASX listed businesses preferred).
• Experience in utilising data analytics to provide assurance and insight.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement ( Board level) and interpersonal skills combined with good strategic and commercial thinking within a technology environment.
