The effective delivery of Fortescue's mobility program is critical to the success of the Company’s talent attraction, retention and motivation objectives.
The Global Mobility Advisor provides pivotal support to these activities, delivering accurate, timely and complete services to assignees, and internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Mobility Framework: Assist with maintaining, evolving and coordinating Fortescue’s Global Mobility framework, program, policies and processes for assignees.
- Assignee Management: End to end coordination of assignee relocations, including preparation of assignment proposals and cost estimates in line with the framework, consideration of tax, immigration and payroll requirements, and liaising with assignees to deliver a seamless relocation experience.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors to initiate international relocations, destination services and taxation briefings.
- New Country Entry: Supporting market benchmarking of employee benefit and remuneration practices for new country entry as needed.
- Legislative Changes: Maintaining keen awareness of impending tax and immigration legislative changes, market trends, and proactive management of potential implications to HR policies.
- Stakeholder relationships: Collaborate with HR teams and leaders to understand their requirements and provide guidance against our policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in Global Mobility, with practical knowledge of Global Mobility, remuneration and benefit structures, tax and incentives.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating the end-to-end Global Mobility processes associated with relocating employees, including engaging with third party vendors for relocation, tax, payroll, and immigration services.
- Excellent customer service skills, distilling sometimes complex concepts to employees and leaders.
- Self-motivated and proactive in approach to role.
- Highly collaborative internally with team members and the broader Fortescue People function.
- Excellent engagement skills across all business levels and areas including suppliers and consultants.
- Demonstrated experience managing competing priorities, large workloads and tight deadlines.
- Agile work ethic and adaptability to changing organisational priorities and demands.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical behaviour in handling sensitive employee information.
- Experience in resources sector (mining, energy) is desirable.
