The Role
As the Operations Manager for Gloria Jean’s Coffee within Retail Food Group, you will be instrumental in shaping the trajectory of our gloriously famous coffee brand within Company Stores. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, from driving store performance and profitability to ensuring adherence to brand standards and fostering strong relationships with franchisees. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize Gloria Jean’s Coffee operations, focusing on store performance, profitability, and excellence.
- Lead and support a team of store managers and staff, providing guidance, training, and resources to achieve operational goals and uphold brand standards.
- Spearhead operational strategies and initiatives to optimise efficiency, quality, and profitability across multiple Gloria Jean’s Coffee locations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline drive-thru operations, leveraging technology, training programs, and performance metrics to continuously improve service standards and drive revenue growth.
- Monitor and analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including sales, labour costs, and product mix, to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotional campaigns, product launches, and marketing initiatives to drive traffic and increase sales.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards, including food safety regulations and operational protocols.
- Foster strong relationships with the Company Stores, providing support, guidance, and operational expertise to help them succeed.
- Drive consistency across the division, ensuring opportunities for sales growth, cost reduction, systems and compliance are maximised.
- Deployment and utilisation of the financial tools available across key unit economic metrics to provide tracking, analysis, and insights to the Business Managers/Store Manager teams that drive business EBITDA performance.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights into operational performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in Operations in a retail environment.
- Strong understanding of and experience with company owned retail businesses.
- Demonstrated business acumen including strong P&L Management.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with a sense of urgency.
- High level of attention and detail both verbal and written.
- Current valid driver licence and reliable vehicle.
