Karora Resources is a gold and nickel producer in WA. Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, we currently operate the Beta Hunt underground mine in Kambalda and the Higginsville Gold Operations, which includes a 1.6 Mtpa mill and processing plant, near Norseman in the Goldfields region of Western Australia and the recently acquired 1.0Mtpa Lakewood Mill in Kalgoorlie.
Our Lakewood Operations is looking for an experienced and safety conscious Gold Room Operator to join the team.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that elution and gold recovery activities are completed in a timely manner
- Operate all processing plant equipment relating to Milling, CIL, Crushing & the Elution circuit
- Monitor and report on any security issues in and around the Gold Room
- Operate the forklift, EWP, and skid-steer in a safe and correct manner
- Maintain safe housekeeping standards and conduct regular inspections of the Gold Room
- Maintain efficient and productive Gold Room processes
ABOUT YOU
- Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence
- Minimum 2 years experience in Gold Room or Process Plants
- Certificate II in Mineral Processing (desirable)
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
- Experience in process control and SCADA systems (CITECT) (desirable)
- Forklift Licence
- Confined Space Ticket (desirable)
- Gas Testing Ticket (desirable)
- Working at Heights Ticket (desirable)
- Proficient Microsoft office skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Solid communication skills, with the ability to build strong, collaborative, and successful working relationships with your team
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude
- Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
