Control Room Operators/ Processing Technicians

As part of our rapid growth trajectory, we are seeking experienced Control Room Operators and Processing Technicians to join our Processing team. Reporting to the Production Superintendent.
We are looking for team members that are committed to ensuring safety is prioritised in everything we do as we ramp up production.
These roles will be an 15:13 roster FIFO from Perth or DIDO from within the Gascoyne region.
Control Room Operator
- Assist in training of required competencies of Control Room Operator function, priority to operating systems and procedures
- Perform operating duties as directed and support plant commissioning
- Follow procedures and policies for the safe and efficient operation of the processing plants and associated infrastructure
- Provide operations training to Process Operators
- Communicate clearly and accurately to Operational personnel and all Departments as required across all Area specific Channels
- Monitor plant equipment to ensure proper operation and identify developing trends
- Quickly respond and take corrective action to plant alarms
- Recording of any occurrences during a Shift into the Control Room Handover log book
- Check for accuracy the Shift Report Sheet. Confirm Report Sheet information with Shift Supervisor before distribution
- Provide proactive safety leadership
- Actively participate in shift changeovers ensuring all reporting requirements have been completed along with an effective handover
- Embrace and comply with all safety systems, policies and procedures
- Undertake workplace inspections and audits
- Support the Process Supervisor in Pre-Start and Safety Compliance
- Deputise for Process Supervisor as required
- Liaising with the Supervisor to optimise process performance
- Committing to achieve production targets
- Assisting with preparing and isolating equipment for maintenance
About you
- Demonstrated production Control Room Operator experience at a minerals processing plant
- Prior experience in plant commissioning and/or plant ramp up desirable
- Prior experience in following permit to work and plant isolation procedures viewed favourably
- SCADA proficiency
- MSP / WCP Control Room operating skillset
- Proficient in two – way communication
- Driver’s license essential
Processing Technician
- Embrace and comply with all safety systems, policies and procedures
- Undertake workplace inspections and audits
- Report all hazards and incidents and support investigations and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance to all operating licences conditions
- Follow procedures and policies for the safe and efficient operation of the processing plants and associated infrastructure
- Proactively engage with all stakeholders eg safety, environment, maintenance and technical to ensure performance of processing plants is optimised
- Undertake and successfully complete training including gaining competencies to be multiskilled across all process operator duties within processing plants and associated infrastructure
- Deputise for Control Room Operator as required
- Workplace flexibility to cover Operator tasks as required
- All aspects of production and operations related to the processing plants and non-process infrastructure
About you
- Demonstrated process operator experience at a minerals processing plant
- Prior experience in plant commissioning and/or plant ramp up desirable
- Prior experience in following permit to work and plant isolation procedures viewed favourably
- Basic familiarity with MS office suite of applications
- Drivers licence essential
- Proficient in two – way communication
These additional certifications are viewed favourably for these roles but not essential:
- Cert IV in Process Plant Operations
- Trade certificate
