Golf Operations Manager
Lakelands Country Club is a young, growing private members Club located in Gnangara, just 25 minutes North of the Perth CBD. It has modern facilities featuring a new Clubhouse, renovated Course, an excellent training facility and a growing membership base.
We are looking for an experienced, innovative, and passionate Golf Operations Manager to lead the golf department in developing and driving the implementation of our golf strategy, which is centred around increasing member satisfaction, maximising retail sales, controlling Cost of Goods, and working collaboratively to develop club culture around improving membership experience.
The Golf Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our golf facility. This multifaceted position requires a dynamic individual with a passion for golf, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to deliver an outstanding experience for our members and guests. The Golf Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of Golf Operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, and contributing to the overall success and reputation of the Club.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Golf Course Operations:
- Oversee the efficient access to the golf course by members, guests, and visitor groups, ensuring positive experience for golfers.
- Collaborate with groundskeeping staff to coordinate maintenance schedules and implement improvements.
- Monitor and enforce course policies to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Coordinate with the relevant departments to ensure a smooth flow of play.
- Develop and implement an efficient tee time management system to optimize course utilization.
2. Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests, addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Supervise the pro shop staff, ensuring a high level of professionalism and knowledge.
- Be passionate about promoting and growing the game of golf;
3. Event Coordination:
- Plan and execute golf events, tournaments, and outings, coordinating logistics and ensuring a seamless experience for participants.
4. Inventory Management:
- Manage pro shop inventory, including golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to optimize sales.
5. Financial Oversight:
- Contribute to budget development and monitor financial performance, seeking opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
- Implement and manage pricing strategies for golf services and merchandise.
6. Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise pro shop staff, and other Golf Operations personnel.
- Foster a positive team culture focused on delivering excellent customer service.
7. Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about relevant regulations and ensure the golf facility's compliance with all applicable laws and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- PGA Qualification preferred – teaching rights offered
- Relevant educational experience.
- Proven experience in Golf Operations management or a related role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Miclub golf software and Microsoft Office Suite.
The Golf Operations Manager role is a full-time salary position which will be an integral part of the overall management team.
Any successful PGA Professional will be offered the ability to provide tuition to our 1300 strong membership base in our state-of-the-art teaching facility.
An excellent remuneration package will be negotiated with the preferred candidate.
