McArthur have partnered with a leading not for profit organisation with a reputation for excellence throughout Victoria, providing high quality Residential and Community Aged Care services across Victoria. This role is based in a state-of-the-art facility in central Bendigo and is a fantastic opportunity for a Gr 1 RN who is looking to grow their career and progress quickly to more senior nursing roles, with a fantastic mentoring and support program in place.
About the role
This position is ideal for a new graduate Gr 1 RN who wishes to learn and grow, with great mentoring and support. The permanent part time roster will give you stability and allow you to gain the experience to fast track your nursing career, consolidate your skills and work alongside experienced RN's who will guide your practice and encourage you to grow your clinical confidence and ability to lead a team of staff. Working a regular roster, you will be managing the care of elderly residents in Bendigo's premier residential aged care facility, with a leading Not For Profit organisation who invests in their people and nurtures and prioritises career development.
For this role, you will need high level communication skills, an understanding of residential aged care from either clinical placement or perhaps paid work as a PCA during your studies.
If you value a sleep-in every day, and enjoy free time in the mornings - this is an ideal role for you! All shifts are PM shifts and there is an opportunity to pick up further shifts if that's your preference. the roster allows for two weekend days per fortnight, capturing the highly valued penalty rates of Sunday PM shifts each week.
To work in this role you will need:
- Current AHPRA registration - RN Gr 1
- Aged Care experience would be beneficial
- Must be able to start in a full time role, committing to a roster of evening shifts
- Flu (2024) and COVID vaccinations completed
- Current Police check
