Job Description:  Graduate Accountant

We are a firm of chartered accountants in Manly NSW seeking to employ a Graduate Accountant to join our professional team.

Candidates who are completing their university degree will also be considered.

The Role:

Working alongside experienced Chartered Accountants you will gain exposure to all facets of professional accounting for an extensive range of clients from numerous industries. 

The position is full time, but we will be flexible if the right candidate is still completing their studies.

The role will involve on the job training so you can assist with:

• the preparation of financial reports and income tax returns for a range of entity types and sizes.
• the preparation of activity statements and other regular tax forms and reports.
• the audit of financial reports.
• various administrative accounting functions.
• interaction with clients to assist with their compliance and business needs.

Previous accounting experience is preferred but not essential.

Remuneration:

You will be provided with a starting salary package in the range of $60,000 to $75,000 commensurate with experience and ability.

Location:

We are located in Manly NSW, close to Manly Wharf ferries and buses.

The Applicant:       

The ideal candidate will have:

• a friendly, welcoming, and positive attitude, with a can-do approach to work;
• an attention to detail.
• excellent oral and written communication skills.
• completed, or near completed, your university degree.
• a desire to enrol in the CA program.
• experience with Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel.
• experience with MYOB and XERO is not essential but highly desirable.
